Ik ben een vierdejaars student Culturele Maatschappelijke Vorming aan de Haagse Hogeschool. Ik ben 23, woon in Den Haag en verwacht mijn studie in november 2010 af te ronden. Tijdens deze studie heb ik me vooral gericht op het domein kunst en cultuur en dit wil ik ook terug laten komen in mijn scriptie, die ik zal toespitsen op KijkRuimte en de van der Pekbuurt in Amsterdam Noord.

Marta Pisco

[ 10/03/2010 to 12/03/2010. ] Marta Pisco is a Portuguese artist working and living in Amsterdam. She is at the moment developing the ‘Green Monster’ project, a street performance where a green monster walks the streets in different cities. She has been in Aleppo (SY) and Beirut (LB) with this project.
From the 10th to the 12th she will present an installation about The Green Monster in Beirut at the Kijkruimte. On the 12th at 20h00 there will be a screening of Beirut’s footage followed by a debate.
In April 2010 in a artist residence at the Kijkruimte, Marta will develop The Green Monster in Amsterdam Noord.

Miguel A. Melgares

[ 25/05/2010 to 12/07/2010. ] Miguel A. Melgares is a Spanish artist working and living in Amsterdam. He is currently a researcher in Advance Studies in Performative Arts (MA of Theater) at DasArts. In June he will present the second part of his Master Proof ‘Potrait of a wet country’ at the KijkRuimte.

Mounira al Solh

Mounira Al Solh (1978) is a Lebanese artist working in Beirut and in Amsterdam. Having painting as a background, she developed videos and other forms of works where text takes an important narrative and sometimes performative role.

Sara De Sousa Correia (aka saco)

[ 04/10/2009; ] Sara De Sousa Correia is a portuguese communication designer and researcher focused on social and ecological communitary crossed interactions and experiential art. She’s a human ecology activist, and a slow kitchen-blender, that has arrived at the KijkRuimte on the 4th October.

Daniël Ploeger

September 10th, 2009

[ 21/09/2009; ] Daniël Ploeger is a dutch performer and multimedia artist, working in berlin and brighton. His performance installations often focus on the combined visual and auditive perception of moving sound sources and explore interactions between the human body and technological prostheses. He will arrive at the KijkRuimte on 21rst of September.

he is currently doing practice-based research in the field of multimedia installation
and performance art in the “centre for research in opera and music theatre“ at
the university of sussex.

Johanna Barnbeck

[ 04/09/2009 to 18/12/2009. ]
Johanna Barnbeck works with an emphasis on the concept of experience and autobiographical narratives. She is currently completing her Research Master in Cultural Analysis at the University of Amsterdam. For her research at the KijkRuimte she will be experimenting with practices of psychogeographical mapping and the experience of art-in-context, starting from the 30th october 2009.

Neda Firfova

[ 03/01/2010 to 11/02/2010. ]
Neda Firfova is a Researcher Designer and will be working at the KijkRuimte from January of 2010, with her project Patter Typography: Exploration into New Grid Systems. With this project explores modularity in the Roman alphabet letters, suggesting a specific research into what constitutes a ‘pattern’ in typography and its possibilities.

Laura Oldfield Ford

June 9th, 2009

Laura Oldfield Ford is based in London, having completed an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art in 2007. She will be working at the KijkRuimte from 9 to 17 of June.
